Not only are we retailers of coffee machines and accessories at QCS, we're also huge proponents of fostering coffee culture. On Sunday, July 27th, we will be hosting a Home Barista Workshop right here in our showroom! Open to both aspiring home baristas and those with some experience under their belt, the workshop is a hands-on and immersive lesson where you can learn and/or refine your skills.
Throughout the workshop, learners will get the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on both the background of coffee and how to work with it. With a Sensory Tasting Experience, attendees will develop a deeper understanding of coffee's different elements, such as flavour, body, and aroma. In a small group setting, there will be ample opportunity for each learner to understand in depth the proper techniques for dialing in the grind, steaming milk, and creating latte art.
After scheduled learning is finished, all at-home baristas will have the option of staying for practice time, putting the learned skills to use and getting comfortable with the processes. Attendees can also feel free to ask questions from our educated staff about any and all things coffee.
The 3 hour workshop (plus any extra practice time you choose to use) will be a very practical session, making sure that each participant leaves the QCS showroom feeling confident in their abilities as a home barista.
