ENA 4 to a C3 blog: JURA C3 espresso making

New to JURA, the JURA C3 is a superautomatic machine that has a variety of features that create the ultimate espresso experience for those who love the black coffee essentials. If you have a JURA ENA 4 but are interested in looking for something with a little more power, take a look at what this new model offers and why you should consider upgrading your ENA 4 to a JURA C3 machine.

Full-size brewing unit and grinder

A big reason why the JURA C3 is seen as a step up from the ENA 4 is its inclusion of a full-size brewing unit and the Professional Aroma Grinder (P.A.G.). Before, the JURA ENA 4 supplied the Aroma G3 grinder, which allowed for multiple grind levels, but was not on the same tier as the P.A.G. grinder included on the C3. On this machine, users can choose from seven different levels of grind consistency. This not only gives more choice to the user, but also helps to create the perfect conditions for each brew. With the full-size brewing unit, the C3 is a powerful upgrade to the ENA 4. This development elevates "entry-level" superautomatic machines, making the quality of each brew even better than you would expect.

Keeping it to the essentials

Like the JURA ENA 4, the C3 specializes in black coffee specialties. If you or your household aren't one for milk-based coffee, the C3 is a great choice for keeping it to the essential drinks. You get the experience of high-quality JURA espresso while ensuring you're not paying for features you won't use.

With the C3, you can choose to make an espresso or a coffee, and if needed, you have 2x versions of both drinks.

Similar dimensions, improved design

The JURA C3 measures about the same in size in comparison to the ENA 4. In fact, it's slightly smaller compared to the ENA 4 in everything but height. This is especially impressive when you consider how the C3 includes the full-size brewing unit and grinder. Keeping in line with its compact nature, you can place the C3 in smaller spaces without it taking up too much space on your counter.

Along with improved dimensions, the C3 boasts a new look: elevated with a wave design that is seen in higher-end models such as the Z10, the C3 looks modern and up-to-date. On the side, the water tank is decorated with a diamond design similar to the one seen on the ENA 4, but with a tank that is flush to the side of the machine. This tank also has a higher capacity than that of the ENA 4, increasing from 1.1 L to 1.6 L. While we're talking about larger capacities, the hopper also holds 200 grams of beans, a 75 gram increase from the ENA 4. At the front, the screen display is adorned by four simple buttons--an improved version of the ENA 4 interface, with more interactivity but still an intuitive user experience.

If we compare the JURA C3 and ENA 4 models, we can see that the C3 is considered an entry-level espresso machine in the JURA line (like the ENA 4), but is highly capable with multiple improvements over the ENA 4. From a full-size brewing unit to larger water tank and hopper capacities, it delivers in all the areas it needs, and excels at providing black coffee essentials.
