How it works

The Olympia Maximatic - Anthracite is a semi-automatic machine, so you can let some of the work be in the hands of the machine itself. It is also the world's most compact dual-circuit machine, containing two water tanks. The first of the two, a fresh water tank, can contain up to 2.64 pints, and allows for refilling during operation. From this fresh water tank, the water makes its way to the second of the tanks, the boiler, which holds up to 1.32 pints. The water in the machine heats to 212°F, and when it lands in the brew group, the temperature settles at the ideal espresso temperature - 198°F. The boiler is also used to help froth milk by providing the needed steam.

The best materials

The processes of the fresh water tank and the boiler are partly possible due to their chrome steel material, which protects the taste of the coffee from distortion during this time. A high gloss polished steel makes up the front of the machine, its high quality evident from first glance. The frame and casing are enveloped by a highly resistant powder coating, and the heating element includes thermal protection.
